The folks involved have a long history of association with the store and with the associated theater. I was really glad to see this…I’d read that the owner has been having problems keeping it running and that it was hanging by a thread.
Damn. I haven’t been there in ages, but I used to use that crowded store a lot. I didn’t realize that it was in trouble, and am happy that Miranda and friends rescued it.
I got my copy of Sidney Howard’s 1926 play The Silver Cord there, back in the days before Amazon.
