However it should be noted that she came into the other thread just to criticize me and had nothing to say about the thread itself.
This is actually an ongoing theme - lorene doesn’t like what I say, accuses me of doing X when I’m actually just of another mindset than her, not actually wrong. She has very low levels of comprehension, not understanding irony (9th grade English) and not understanding that the term “obese” is a factual descriptor. She’s like a fly in your water - just a small, stupid nuisance.
Also, let’s quote exactly what I said.

If I’m a small, stupid annoyance, though, you are a giant, obnoxious one. You are not the expert on the many things you seem to think you are. You’re smug and condescending and clearly have a very high opinion of yourself. Having high self-esteem is great, but not if you belittle other people to achieve it.
I don’t buy for an instant, either, that your use of obese was purely for descriptive purposes. Why not mention eye color, hair color, age? I never said you were *wrong *, by the way. I said that it was humorous to me that you were doing the same thing you described others as doing—fancying yourself much better than others.

You said it was ironic, sweetie pie. Humorous is the fact you lack a 9th grade education.
I thought the obesity of the person in question was kind of relevant, though. It was a thread about the trashiest thing you’d even seen - as dangerous as this is to say on the Dope, really obese people sometimes look trashier than people who are normal weight. Clothing that’s too tight, sloppy looking, that sort of thing.
Incidentally, claiming that other people “lack reading comprehension” is one of the most boring insults on the Internet. Ooh. Lacking reading comprehension, why, why, that’s like something you’d say to a 4th-grader! Ultra-burn. If I could travel back in time to 15 years ago when I first read that insult on Usenet, I’d ask my former self if it even had any punch back then, because I’m old now and can’t remember anymore.
Mind you, I’m not really involved in this argument per se; I just think that making the Pit more entertaining is a goal that we can all support working towards.
lorene, you know I like you but you have seriously just described a GREAT MANY people here at the Durp. I thought that was SOP here. I can think of dozens of people (at least one in this thread) who are worse offenders with this than LindsayBluth.
That said, that’s just my opinion. I enjoy her posts.
One of the funniest things I’ve ever read on the Dope was the thread she started so all us poor peons could ask her what it was like to grow up in a house with a rec room. …and a tv… and she had a computer and…food.
