None of them ever flew an airplane off a treadmill.
They’re made out of meat.

Don’t have a clue. Like I said…cryptic.

They have ALL been in my kitchen.
They all had false teeth?
Seeing as we seem to be throwing random guesses around: they are all thought to have been dyslexic?

Ha, this is easy: they all have 14 K of G in a F P D!

It’s a reference to this epic thread.
Were they all drop outs?
Bilateral symmetry?
Thank you for helping. I’ve done some thorough research and concluded that:
Yes, as stated above, they are all dyslexic.
The puzzle was used as part of the corporate culture of Walt Disney’s company. Walt Disney was also dyslexic. Additionally, an extract form the Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand states that “[…] they have the ability to perceive the world from different perspectives; to think outside of the square.”
Therefore, that’s how the clue fits in with the people.
Thanks for all the help. To moderators, this post can be locked/deleted if you think it necessary.
Matthew.
That’s weird, I was going to- but thought better of it - post a spoof list, with the most random people in it I could think of in it, e.g. Attilla the Hun, Cher, Tycho Brahe, Kanye West - and one of the first spoof names I chose was Walt Disney.
Question. Do we know that all these people were dyslexic? Were they all tested and diagnosed with dyslexia? A lot of times, you see, “Famous genius had condition X”, without any sort of documentation, and it seems a lot like wishful thinking to me.

To be honest, I’m not quite sure. This puzzle was devised by a teacher in my school. I knew of Napoleon & Einstein & Steve Jobs being supposedly dyslexic - and suspected the same was applicable to the rest - but I never got to look into it until Dead Cat said so.
But no, I don’t think that they were all professionally diagnosed. I agree with you.
Wow, I think this may be the first time I have been the first poster to correctly answer an SDMB thread (even if it was a bit of a guess - like the OP, I had heard of Einstein and Churchill supposedly being dyslexic, but wasn’t sure about the others - it seemed to fit, though).
As for diagnosis, I was under the impression that dyslexia itself was only recognised as a disorder fairly recently (like within the last 20-30 years), so I doubt any of these people was ever formally diagnosed at the time - more like it is people looking at their life afterwards and mixing in a touch of speculation.
