Well, I’ve done some writing for MousePlanet, but currently my role is more behind-the-scenes.

http://www.mouseplanet.com/alex/ and http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/disneyonice.htm are some of the items.

Baglady writes for them as well (http://www.mouseplanet.com/lani), but her more impressive efforts are in single-handedly putting out the Travelite FAQ and Pilotlite.org.

In a past effort she was responsible for various bodyart FAQs for rec.arts.bodyart. The most notable being the Tattoo FAQ. These were all handed off to other people a couple of years ago, though.

That’s more like it! I thought no author could resist a chance for a free plug. (That being me projecting what I would be like if I were to write anything.)

Fussy, you Alex or Kevin? Either way, I love “nose art” and unit insignias and am disappointed from your review that this book is not as complete as I would like. Oh, the missed opportunities in life. BTW, there was a precursor to Disney doing this. In the 30s a Navy dive bombing squadron started using Felix the Cat in their insignia.

Baggy’s stuff is bookmarked because I love imaginary travel. If I ever do any real travelling I’m going to be damned prepared for it!

Prima, that link sends me to some theatrical lighting company in POHMmieland. Doesn’t look like the sell novels for young adults, but I can download their manual.

David B, you are apparently one of this killjoys intent on putting flim flammers like me out of business. Thankfully, suckers don’t read your stuff–you are preaching to the choir!

Ah, but thanks to your opportunity to tell people where to read it, maybe some of those “suckers” will check it out now.

Let’s increase that opportunity with a little ::bump:: action.

Excuse me, I meant bump.

I’d like more doper-written material, please. I’ve spent a good portion of last weekend plugging through the REALL site and Baglady’s travel site is something I need to look over since plane rides are in my immediate future. And then it’s off to the tattoo faqs and green army men on ice!

I hope you’ve enjoyed your tour through the REALL site! Next stop on your guided tour is…

I tried most of the links in your first post and they weren’t working. I couldn’t even get themestream so you couldn’t get your 2 cents!

What’s up with that.

There is no link to my master’s thesis. I just haven’t ever put it up, since I’m too lazy and too HTML illiterate to build a website. If you’re really that interested, I can mail it to you chapter by chapter. Or I could start learning. How hard can a website be to build?

There’s also some stories I’ve uploaded at fanfiction.net, but I don’t think that’s what you had in mind, is it?

Um, yeah, it’s fine. ANYTHING! I’m not big on rules.

Look, the intent of this thread is to provide exposure for people who aren’t Stephen King. So ANYTHING is fair game and desirable, as long as it doesn’t violate board rules too flagrantly. Links to stuff available commercially is okay, too, as long as it’s yours or belongs to a friend or relative. A blatently commercial driveby by, say, FordFan, linking to a Car and Driver road test is NOT in keeping with the spirit. Unless he wrote the article.

It’s not much - mainly trying ot get back into practice of writing. Hope you find something you like. I’ll work on the thesis.

I’m a published ghostwriter, do I count? If so, and you’re just fascinated by mall architecture and design, you’ll find links to samples here.

I also have an op-ed piece in the current Teemings.

Hmmm. Good question on the “findarticles” site. I’ll have to check it out.

As far as Themestream, they were down for a few hours this morning (which really pissed me off 'cus I wanted to upload a new Survivor article), but are back up and running just fine now. So please go ahead and try again!

I don’t care if you’re dead or alive. Haven’t I made it clear that JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING COUNTS? But that was pretty ballsy, linking to your resume, and all. And too bad you don’t live near Chicago because we’re looking for a computerish marketeer.

Actually, I am. No! Wait! I really am! It goes with my professional territory! We do commercial buildings as well as residences and I helped out with the sound system for the United terminal at O’Hare. Lighting’s important to me, as is architecture.

Real conversation with my boss:

Me - You know, that looks more like a mall or a junior college than a house.

Boss - When they get above a certain size they all start looking like malls or junior colleges.

I’m shocked, SHOCKED, to learn that those editorials-cum-advertisements written by semi-literate salesmen are really GHOSTED! Jeeze, our marketing guy currently has to write his own copy. He really needs a ghost!

Yep. First try, too.

dropzone, I expect you to bump this thread once a month for the next four years as motivation for me to write something actually worth publishing. (My short in Teemings #2 didn’t count, as bribes were involved.)

The only other thing I have to my name (besides other short story of no literary merit) is my honors thesis on the relative merits of popular fiction.

Plan to.

And this is where?

Hey! I’m a Gemini and am SUPPOSED to be interested in everything. Don’t think I don’t sometimes wish I could concentrate on ONE SUBJECT!

Before I forget, I’d like to thank brachyrhynchos for explaining where the crow is going when I see a few perching in the late afternoon and one just gets it into its head to leave and fly due west. They probably have a big communal roost in the forest preserve that way.

Shhhhhh! You want to get me in trouble with Euty for not sharing?!

Zebra: Well, I checked the findarticles links, and they are indeed dead. But you can get to those article by going to http://www.findarticles.com and searching on “David Bloomberg” (you have to include the quotes for your best results). It seems that the articles don’t have good links of their own – you just get to them by a search. Quite weird. I’ll have to change it on my resume. Thanks for letting me know.

All the other links should work just fine, though. In fact, I’m now a “Featured Columnist” on Themestream, so you can find some of my articles by going to that site and checking out the Television area (under “Entertainment”).
