How does one add a link to a post?
Also, use the http:// button at the top of the full reply box, and enter in the link text, then URL.

I usually just right click, copy and paste the address.
I don’t even add the "s before and after the url.
Okay, it adds them for you. That’s fine then. Yes, the quotes aren’t needed. Apparently neither is the http://. You can get away with as little as this:
