Lio comic 22 Feb

I don’t get it…

The first three are actual animals. The last is a candy. Not particularly funny, IMO, but there you go.

Thanks!

That’s the lamest cartoon I’ve ever seen…

I envy somebody who’s never heard of Family Circus.

“Of the comic strips that I read, that is the most lame cartoon.”

It should probably be noted that today’s comic isn’t typical of Lio. This is more typical of the strip.

I’ve been reading it in my local paper for a few months now and I like it. I have to admit it isn’t usually funny, it’s more “quirky”. I don’t know, it works for me.

I rather liked the one where he is standing in a ruined school room. You can see through the fallen wall that the entire city has been devastated. A teacher if frowning at him, and he is writing on the remains of a blackboard, “I will not play with fissionable materials in school. I will not play with…”

One of the first ones I laughed out loud at showed him holding a trombone, and dialing a phone. Then he placed the receiver on the table and blew the trombone at it.

Final panel shows a 1950’s version of Lucy van Pelt holding a phone out to a 1950’s version of Charlie Brown, saying, “It’s for you. It’s your teacher.”
