Big cat sightings are very common, especially when the idea gets put in peoples’ heads, but they’re often normal cats or dogs or deer or coyotes or raccoons.

It’s now reported to be a Main Coon cat.

Actually I have read a couple of reported sightings of raccoons in Wales and western England, but they’re no less exotic here than lions.
