Lip and Nipple Color (Perhaps TMI)

I’m not quite sure how to phrase this question. My lips, sans lipstick, and my nipples/areola are the same color. I had assumed the same was true for every woman, but tonight my husband seemed bewildered by the concept. We’d been discussing a female acquaintance who’s lips are almost the same shade as the rest of her face. My thought was “Weird! I wonder how that affects her nipples!?”… Stonebow’s response was “WTF are you talking about?”

I know, I know…when I assume, it just makes an ass out of me and Uma Thurman.

Have I been living in a dream world of my own making? What’s the straight dope on this? Do yours match? (Men and women feel free to reply, since I’m assuming we all have lips and nipples.)

Well, after years of dedicated research, I have come to the conclusion that it just isn’t so. I know some lovely lasses with pale pink lips and brown nipples. There might be a correlation, however. I will gladly do further research upon receiving a suitable grant. :smiley:

Not the case for me, either…I think the whole brown nipples thing throws everything off, anyway.

Honestly, I thought I was unusual for a long time in that my nipples aren’t pink.

Given your background, wouldn’t it be a lot more unusual if your nipples were pink? :confused:

All the nipples you see in media are pink. I mean, not that I saw that many, but I definitely got the wrong impression. And my family was too conservative, I never got a glimpse of another female’s nipples. I never thought about it much, but was a little confused.

And I should have *known * **Shib ** would show up in a nipple thread. :wink:

I just turned on the air conditioner; it’s too hot to sleep. Okay, not to bad, but it’s 78 F in the house. It’s much cooler outside but the place we’re in now I can’t open the &%$@ bedroom window. So the ceiling fan is on and the A/C is set to 76. Now, excuse me while I get naked and go to bed…

FWIW, my man nipples are roughly the same color as my lips (I just checked).

Well, if you came to visit then going nude would really be the polite thing to do. As for cold and nipples and OPs, I’m sure we can make some sort of measurable connection.
