Listening to Art Bell

I just went to Art’s site to listen to the program and found out that they want $6.95 a month to listen online starting next month. I live in a fringe area and sometimes I get the Bangor station and sometimes I don’t. So, is there no way to listen to Art otherwise? What about from a radio station online? Do they have to have permission and pay a fee in order to broadcast his show?

Maybe you could check each radio station’s online web site and see if they air the show. See http://www.artbell.com/stations.html?st=me

Some radio stationd brodcast on the computer. Maybe one that carries Are Bell broadcacts over the internet for free.

Muds idea is best.

Listen to the show and find out his sponsor.

A simple jump from there to find affiliated stations.

Then find an affiliated station that net broadcasts and yoose in.

Possible caveat: some programs contractually may not be netcast by affiliated stations. I believe there are certain NPR shows that are like this, as well as Howard Stern. If this is the case, the station will usually just play music over the net while they are playing the program on the air.

I found a radio station that broadcasts Art Bell, so we will see in in a month if they are still doing it. This is probably a good time to stop listening to him so late and get some sleep, but I’ve been listening to him for years.
