Litte Nemo, you're an asshole.

Vlad to help you out, John.

You say that as if there were a non-drunk equivalent of Josef Stalin. :dubious:

Atilla you stop it yourself, nobody else Khan.

The long-running joke being that he’s convinced a caddy is the murderer.

Gertie the Dinosaur, however, is very competent.
(I couldn’t think of any dictator jokes, so I went for the more obvious joke. I hope I don’t get any Marcos taken off for that.)

Hello, just saw this thread. Sorry for the delay of my response.

First off, looking back over my post I can see where it would easily be assumed I was implying John Corrado was a Nazi, anti-semite, holocaust denier, whatever. This was not my actual intent but I see how it would appear so. So I apologize for what I wrote because it was ill considered and likely to be interpreted as a personal attack. And for the record, I also apologize to WalMart for any implied comparison to Nazi Germany as this was also not my intent.

In another recent thread on the Armenian genocide, I was discussing some of the various “arguments” that holocaust deniers use. One of the things I wrote was their use of the argument “If you can’t deny the extent of the action, deny the intent of it. Claim that everybody died due to unforeseeable circumstances and nobody planned it.” Having recently written this, the thought was clear in my mind. But understandably, nobody else was making the same connection. So my actual intent was to say that John’s argument was weak by making an analogy with another weak argument. But bringing genocide into an argument about business practices was, in retrospect, a bad analogy in that it overwhelmed the point I was trying to make.

And I also want to defend myself from some other lesser charges that I don’t feel were justified. Other than the unintended comparison that I’ve already addressed, I said nothing bad about WalMart. In fact when other people where deriding WalMart for the practice being discussed in the thread, I pointed out that it was legal and just sound business (and offered evidence and sound argument in support of which). To say my position was “anti-corporate-Wal-Mart-is-Satan’s-progeny” is to misrepresent it.

Hey, WalMart just called. They lost your number, so they told me to pass it on. They said not to worry about it and you’re cool with them. Also, they wanted to know if you’re planning on coming with them to Dave’s on Friday to hang out with the gang. Give them a call.

Don’t go! Don’t go! They’re just going to lock you in the store til Monday!

Apology accepted, and I likewise apologize for hyperbolic statements in this thread, or misrepresentations of your position.

I stand by the puns, though.

Ferdinand Marcos!

What, did I miss something?

Sigh…that was meant to be the small, discreet font. Sigh…

Damn straight. They’ll take away my puns when they pry them out of my cold dead fingers.

[Krusty the Klown]Let’s just say it moved me…TO A BIGGER HOUSE!. Uh-oh. I said the quiet part loud and the loud part quiet.[/KTK]

Pfffft!!

You guys could have put up at least a little bit of a show before apologizing.

Jeez.

I hate to disappoint a fan.

“John Corrado season!”
