Little Britain.

I did a search for this topic but the search engine seems determined to ignore the word ‘little’ and give me hundreds of threads about britain.

I love this show. Some of the scetches are genius. The lazy scouse wheelchair guy - “I wont that one!”, “Yeanow”. Dafid (sp?) “The only gay in the village”.

Any American dopers seen it yet? (BBC America?)

Which is your favourite character?

Not an American, but my favourite characters are Lou and Andy, “I don’t like it”

And Vicky Pollard, the scary slapper, “nobutyeahbutnobutyeahbutnoSHUTUP!”

Not exacty comfortable watching some of it with my dad though, especially the Jason and Nan sketches.

Have not seen the show, but if you google search with – “little britain” bbc – you get a bunch of on-point hits.

Looks amusing. I keep an eye out for Brit shows on PBS in the US, never seen this one on the west coast.

The guy in the wheelchair is definitely my favourite, but he scares me for some reason and i can’t think why. I really don’t like some of them, i don’t think half of them are funny at all, I prefer the league of gentlemen.

The guy in the wheelchair seems like someone in real life, someone that unique must be based on someone real.

I agree that mort than half of the characters are un funny, but there are just enough really ‘clever’ (unique, weird) character to make the show funny - IMO these are - the wheelchair guy, the mental patient, the two guys attempting world records (“I think we’re gonna need another can of beans”)

I’ve only heard the radio show, but I love Vicky Pollard.

That ‘scene’ (quote removed not by me) was in the TV show too, word for word as far as I can tell.

I haven’t heard the radio show.
