"Little Miss Sunshine"

I know *this movie is still in limited release, but I can’t be the only Doper who’s seen it, can I? This movie was really, really funny. It had a few dead spots and a plot that got very National Lampoon-ish, but damn, the bright spots were really bright. Greg Kinnear was cast perfectly, and at this point I don’t think anybody in the movies is funnier than Steve Carrell.

Anybody else seen this, or planning to see it?

I plan to see it, and would be interested in hearing other opinions from people who’ve seen it already.

Right now, it’s only in LA and NY. Many major urban markets (like mine, SF Bay Area) will not get it until this Friday.

Opens August 11th in Baltimore. I’m actually out of town from the 11th - 19th, but this is on the very short list of movies I’m planning on seeing.

I plan to see it. Can’t wait. Steve Carrell is a funny, funny man.

“Movie’s in wide release” bump. Anybody else seen it yet?

I saw it last week and loved it. I thought the ending theatrics (you’ll know what I mean) dragged on a bit too long, but it was quite entertaining throughout.

I saw this movie yesterday and I loved it. Each of the characters were major-league flawed, but their love and commitment to family shone through. Even Greg Kinnear’s character who was a major self-centered jerk, let go of his disappointment and fully supported Olive’s choices. I might see this movie again if word of mouth justifies moving it into main stream movie theatres because my seat was so damn uncomfortable.
