However everywhere I look it lists the release as “limited” which apparently (for now anyway) does not include anywhere in Chicago.
My Google-fu has failed me, and I cannot find anything about when it might arrive in Chicago. I’m a bit surprised that even a limited release doesn’t include a major city like Chicago, but whatever. Are there plans for a wide release? To extend the limited release to new cities? Do I get the chance to see this in theatres, or am I SOL?
If there are plans to release this in Chicago, when? Anyone know?
Shattuck Cinemas in Berkeley is confirmed. Given that there isn’t an SF mention on the Landmark cite, I’d guess either the Sundance Kabuki or the Century SF Centre will be the likely candidate.
This looks so good! I cheered when I saw the preview in the theater. I’d known about it but hadn’t seen any clips. In fact, in another thread I refused to click through to the trailer because I didn’t want to know anything more than I already did, but seeing a preview in the theater is a bit different. You’re a captive audience. So it only took me a couple of seconds to realize what it must be, and I cheered and clapped. I was alone, needless to say, though I just did. I did close my eyes halfway through.
My luck it’ll only be playing at the crappy Landmark, my 2nd most hated theater in Chicago, or the Evanston Century, which I’m still boycotting because of the CEO giving money to support Prop 8. I’m having that problem with Easy Virtue now. I very much want to see it, but it’s only playing at those two theaters. Argh.
