Little Stevie blunder

My memory has some things perhaps only I know, and one of them is this-
Stevie Wonder, during his TV appearances while his rendition of ‘Blowin’ in
the Wind’ was in market, showed up on a teen dance show on what I remember
as channel 8 in New Haven CT. He did the usual lip-syncing on the show, and
the unusually clueless host asked him- ‘wow, Stevie, that’s a great song,
did you write it?’ and Stevie nodded in his usual way and said, ‘yeah’. I
practically threw something at the TV set, because I knew, as apparently
this host, and none of the hapless teens in the studio, did, that Dylan
wrote that song. Anyway, I’m hoping for some corroboration for this story,
and am starting here.

Thanks.

I don’t care it it is true. That’s funny.

Little Stevie was, shall we say, open regarding what he consumed Back In the Day. As were many of us. One shouldn’t be too specific.
