Third thought: “Is Christoper Lee just going to be in everything now?”

Overall, I shall be quite happy when/if this ever comes out. It’s one of my favorite books, and I’ve never been fully satisfied with the animated version. (It has its good points, but it also has Mia Farrow singing.)

Poking through the website, I see that Peter Beagle is involved (good).

So, any other Last Unicorn fans out there? What do you guys think?

The movie, the music, the dialogue… it was absolutely a life-defining event.

Like arisu, I’m simultaneously filled with anticipation and fear that they’ll mess it up.

Huh? The three cast members that have been announced all played the same roles in the animated version. Isn’t that unusual? Will they be getting (the best actor in the world!) Alan Arkin and Mia Farrow up in this action too? (Although they would be too old to play Schmendrick and Amalthea). Are we sure this is legit?

I found the sight through the IMDB, and it’s also linked to Christopher Lee’s website (which also mentions the project), so I just assumed it was.

Though I admit having the same actors is a bit odd…

I just thought it was a nice touch to get the same actors as the ones that did the voice work. I can’t think of anyone more suited for those roles.
