No, sadly not Liberty. I’m speaking of [a href=“http://www.rmwc.edu”]Randolph-Macon Woman’s College[/a], a private all-female college. More’s the pity. We hate Liberty with a passion (Falwell refers to RandyMac students as “whores on a hill”), and I won’t even describe the problems Lynchburg has had with Liberty. But I digress.
Elfbabe, right now the friend ratting idea is most popular. Though who, or why, remains a mystery.
We don’t know as yet what the faculty thinks of all this. Today was the last day of classes, and perhaps the story spread so quickly because of bored tongues. Even if she did “threaten a professor”, I think they may still see the underlying issues of free speech and privacy. Then again, we’re private. The Deans can do whatever the hell they want.
jayjay, Robertson does indeed run a school in my hometown - Regents University, a school so laughable that many businesses in the area refuse to hire its graduates. (More stories there too. Digression galore!)
Our school is very small - 750 students total. The dean who told Rachel to hit the road is a dean I have met with many times, buttonjockey308. She’s utterly reasonable and easy to work with, so I’ve no idea why she’d take this so seriously. Something else must have been in that livejournal, since I can’t see the Dean reacting so badly to a flippant comment.
