Of course, the real-life scenario includes the missing information that he was confronted ***immediately after ***the first incident, and apologized then. So by incident 2, he already knew and seemingly acknowledged his use of the word was offensive. Or his apology after incident 2 wasn’t sincere. Which may explain why he didn’t bring up either incident later when addressing a meeting of Black Netflix staff who all clearly knew about incident 1, at least, given their reported reaction after that meeting.
