Local attractions you have never been to

I just checked trip advisor.

I have not been to the bureau of engraving. Must have opened after I got out of middle school

I live in Bristol, UK, where we have the oldest continuously operating theatre in the English speaking world – the Bristol Old Vic. It is home to a famous theatre school, the alma mater of Daniel Day Lewis, Olivia Colman, Brian Blessed, Miranda Richardson, Patrick Stewart to name but a few. It’s a 15 minute walk from my house. Never been!

I live within 2 walking miles of the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Stockman House and Park Inn Hotel. Never been in the Stockman House and only a cursory stop in the lobby of the hotel to grab a brochure for a friend.

Oddly I am a fan of FLW and have said for several years “one of these days….”

You had to know that I’d eventually show up to give you grief for this. Go for lunch! Get a salad and a slice! Sit in the van!

Yes, I must! Over twenty years here, but until I’ve been to Satchel’s I will never truly belong.

A pretty large fraction. Luxembourg is 2,586 square kilometers and Rhode Island is 2,678 square kilometers, which makes Luxembourg 97% the size of Rhode Island.

Yep, that’s me too. The only real difference is that I’ve spent four decades or more living an hour or so from Buck House, and I’ve never done the tour. (To be fair, I don’t think they did the tour forty years ago).

The Eye was OK though.

I don’t visit somewhere to dutifully seek out it’s museums. I want to chill and get to know the place. May I recommend Brixton Market and Electric Avenue to you?
