Other than “nationally recognizable figures” (I know, tough to define), I was curious about “rising” politicians (on significant committees, for example) that you know about and the rest of us outside your state don’t, but should.
Eg., I know little about Helen Chenoweth (R-Idaho) or Ben Night-Horse Cambell (R-Colorado), yet their recent positions on several issues affecting the environment, law enforcement, national parks, etc… are downright scary. (Not just 'cause I disagree with their stance; there are of course two sides to issues, but both are preferably supported by facts and reason.)
Any others along these lines ?
