I should probably add this one to the omnibus thread (that may or may not exist), but … these people recently came after my wife:
The scammers referenced in the article, NOT the FBI 
And they did spoof the local Police non-emergency phone number. Luckily, a tiny amount of my cynicism and paranoia has crept into my wife’s DNA.
