Public transport’s been a nightmare tonight. I work nearer St Paul’s, and every bus in the city seemed to be routed up through Farringdon. The bus driver on mine went a little off the rails - he took a short cut to avoid half of the journey (missing out most of the busy stops!), cut up a dozen cabbies and couriers, played chicken with a couple of double deckers and didn’t bother picking up passengers who weren’t absolutely on the ball.
Nothing running in the West End, mind.
Sounds like a normal day in Dublin.
Yesterday it took me 15 minutes on the bus to go a distance I could have walked in five.
What? What’s going on? I’m supposed to be going to London tomorrow - travelling from Euston to Camberwell (I was planning to get the tube to Elephant and Castle, then the bus), sometime late afternoon/early evening. Am I going to have problems?
I presume the webcam showed a lot of congestion in Trafalgar Square yesterday because of the protest rally, rekkah. You shouldn’t have any special problems tomorrow.
It’s always a good idea to check this site for any last-minute problems on London Transport though.
breathes sigh of relief
Thanks Everton - I don’t know London too well, and I’ve been burned before by problems I failed to expect/predict, so that site will be very handy. Thanks again.
No probs tube or bus tonight.
