Rarely lonely. I enjoy being alone, but when I want to hang out, there’s always someone around.
I’m an only child.

Maybe I should re-do this poll with a third question - how close are you to your siblings? It seems like people who have contact regularly with their sibs are less lonely than people who are out of touch with them. I see two of my three sisters fairly regularly.
Sometimes I feel lonely, but then I realize I’m just bored and do something to fix that. Or nap, because napping freaking rocks. So, I guess I’m rarely lonely. It probably helps that I live in dorms, so I’m never alone.
I’m the second oldest of four kids. I talk to my older sister all the time on MSN, usually for a couple hours every day. We live an hour apart, but only see each other every other month or so. She’s 8 years older than I am, so it’s only in the past couple of years that we’ve become this close, once I got out of the “annoying younger sister” stage. I love her so much and am so glad she’s part of my life.
I’m not as close to my younger brothers, because, well, they’re my annoying little brothers. Okay, that’s not it entirely. I don’t have as much in common with my 19-year-old brother. He’s at that stage where he’s too cool for the family. Additionally, I’d like to smack his girlfriend in the face with my shoe, because she is so stupid. This does not help my relationship with my brother, but is an improvement on his previous girlfriend.
My youngest brother, 3 1/2 years behind me, I get on famously with. We have very similar personalities and sense of humor. He’s also the baby, so everything he’s done for the past 17 years has been cute. That last trait is actually fairly irritating, now that I think about it.
I’m also really close to my parents. They’re pretty young compared to my friends’ parents – 44 and 43. I’m really looking forward to going home for spring break at the end of the week and hanging out with them.
