LonesomePolecat is too cowardly to call me a traitor to my face

Ooh! You called him a pussy! No way he doesn’t answer now. If he doesn’t he’ll be the laughingstock of our whole junior high.

If you’re gonna rhyme “foul” with “pal”, all bets are off.

How about “And a limerick-less fool,
And conservative tool…”
Regards,
Shodan

 'round these parts, the two rhyme perfectly. How would you distinguish them?

Daniel

Where I’m from, “Foul” rhymes with, well, “Fowl” or “Towel,” and “Pal” rhymes with “Gal.” How do you pronouce them? This is so interesting…I never heard of those two words rhyming before!

My wife assures me that they don’t rhyme, so I’ll concede the point; maybe I just talk sloppy.

Daniel

OMFG, get a clue you dense bitch. He ain’t answering and your juvenile taunting is only making you look, well, juvenile. What are you going to do if he says he thinks you are a traitor? Get pissy and act like a little kid? Too late.

I just said I was above answering him. I didn’t say I was above pissing on him.

No. You miss the point of this pitting, which I have already explained. I will explain it again.

Iraq war supporters have been throwing around the words “traitor” and “treason” to describe people, like me, who oppose the war for four years now. But when confronted they back down or change the subject. Where are these “traitors”? Am I a traitor? And if I am, what should be done with me? Should I be imprisoned? Shot? Hung? Is that really what you think? Here, the cowardly Polecat threw the word “quisling” around. I gave him an opportunity to tell me if I was in the category of “quisling.” He declined to answer, because if he answers in the affirmative it will reveal him to be a fascist blowhard and if he answers in the negative then he reveals himself to lack the courage of his convictions. He blew smoke, and I called him on it. I’m just not going to tolerate the accusation or insinuation of treason from chickenhawk cowards any more.

You really are a drama queen.

So says a loyal member of the 101st Keyboard Commandos. Fuckin’ pussy.

Here’s a turd: munch away.

So says a loyal member of the 101st Keyboard Commandos. Fuckin’ pussy.

Here’s a turd: munch away. You’ve sure as hell have had plenty of practice…

Hmm…not to worry about the double post.

Surely you’ll eat both turds…and ask for more.

First, let’s look at the quote:

Now, what was that in response to? A hyperbolic statement by Cervaise. LP tried to offer up a little tit for tat.

Substantively, his statement, if parsed fairly, claims that there are certain groups in the U.S. that Hussein knew he could count on. These groups were quislings, fools, aand defeatisits. No where does he say that all people who oppose the war fall into these categories. Or that you do. I read what he wrote to say that merely that these groups exist (as a subset of the anti-war left). So I don’t see how you think he was talking about you unless you self-select yourself into one of the categories mentioned. My guess is that you are, and view yourself as, a patriotic American who thinks the war was a mistake. Many people think that without falling into one of the categories mentioned. Why is it so difficult to place yourself there?

Finally, it seems, as you state, that your annoyance is with these labels themselves and how they’ve been weilded. Do you think that there are zero people in the U.S. that world fall into the groups he mentioned?
