Look outside & share!

So, if you look out of the window now, whilst reading this post, what can you see that may be of interest to the TM’s. Anything goes, famous buildings, landmarks, views, anything - come on share!

To start things off, I’m at work, and I can see the taller buildings and church steeple of the famous Harrow Public School high on the skyline.

I’m at home… and I can see a couple of apartment buildings, an aviary (we’re just behind a zoo) and if I stick my head out a bit more I can see this beauty.

's nightime here, so I can see the lamppost down the street and not much else.
Sorry.

I work in a basement. We have no windows. I never see daylight. Thanks for reminding me…

Very dark at around 3:15 AM. That reminds me. It’s beyond bedtime. :o

I’m in a cubicle. It’s beside a window. DIRECTLY beside a window. Blocking the window. And even if I could climb on my desk, reach over the partition, and open the blinds, the view is of a parking lot. Across the street is a hangar. Nothing of interest here. plus it’s still dark out.

Aren’t you glad I shared?

If I crane my head, I can just see out of the window. All I can see is the old rickety bridge connecting Physics West and Physics East. If I get up, and look outside, I see there’s a hefty drop to the ground, where “Deliveries” and “Post” is. Now, I don’t recall climbing any stairs to get to my office.

At the moment, rain, grey skys and about four residence halls. Oh, and some shrubbery. Ick.

note the interesting speling of “skies.” Perhaps I need to stay in and learn to spell. Sheesh.

The front of Trinity College, and the old Bank of Ireland building. A sycamore tree with only a couple of leaves on it, waving in the cold breeze, a light grey sky.

Oh jjimm, You’ve just reminded me, right outside our front door is a splendid oak tree, a good 20-25ft tall. This tree was just a sapling when I started this job…

god, I must be old. Thanks.

Since it’s fall, the leaves are down on the crape myrtle right outside this window – spring and summer, that’s about all I can see. (Very nice when it’s in bloom – bright pink flowers.) Now, I see a bit of my garden, the neighbor’s porch, parked cars, people walking up and down the street, a passing car, and four or five of the rowhouses across the street. I can hear the trash truck coming but it’s still a couple houses up the street.

Mmmmmm yeaahhhhh, ummm, Jenny, if you could just . . . pick up a can of pesticide and spray for roaches. . . mmmm that’d be great, yeah . . . [Sub]This moment from “Office Space” brought to you by the letter “G” and the symbol “%”.[/sub]

I too live on the ‘basement’ floor of an apartment building. I can only see snow and the river rocked embankment up to the chiropractal office next to this building.

Tripler
S’okay. The last place I used to live in was the basement.

Every morning the first thing I see is my neighbors’ swamp cooler.

leaves. leaves. more leaves. even more leaves. <sigh>

I can see the rest of the close where I live, and a fair bit beyond, as I live on the first floor. Also, there’s the neighbours cat licking its nether regions, and a lot of leaves on the ground.

If I could be bothered to get up and go to the kitchen window, I’d be able to see the big wood out of the back.

A bunch of squad cars closing off one of the major streets nearby - it’s very very foggy here, and there was apparently a really really bad accident which has all lanes blocked. And a flagpole. And geese. Lots of freakin’ geese.

It’s foggy and drizzly and I can see some leafless trees and some evergreen, a bed of ivy, a fountain which is currently not running.

From where I’m sitting, I can see the next building over in our condo complex. It’s only about thirty feet away, so all I see is a bit of the light peach/pink wall, two windows, the roof and a sliver of sky.

If I walk over to that window (or better yet, to the balcony in the living room) I can see the Atlantic Ocean. And a whole mess of palm trees.

I can’t see outside from here, I’m in a cubicle in a windowless room in the center of a large building. We take security a little too seriously here.
