Looking for a good mp3 encoder

Not sure whether this belongs here or in IMHO, but here goes…

I want to convert my CD collection to mp3. However, I can’t find a piece of software that will do everything I want it to. My criteria for judging an mp3 encoder to be good are as follows:
[ul][li] It must use CDDB (or similar technology) to ID the artist, album, and track titles. I have over 200 CD’s and don’t feel like typing in all the names.[/li][li] It must have decent error correction, but not the sort that prevents songs from being copied. One of my CD’s has a small scratch on it that prevents a certain song from being copied by anything I’ve used (although it’ll play just fine on a regular CD player, computer or otherwise).[/li][li] It must be able to handle enhanced CD’s properly. The latest version of Windows Media Player can’t encode the last track of an enhanced CD, and I see that as a major shortcoming.[/ul][/li]Given all this, what should I try using? Or would I be better off just writing one myself (last resort)?

I forgot to add that I’m running Windows 2000, which is not the most media-friendly OS.

It is Win2000 compatible. I used it for my CDs with no problems. Ahh, hours and hours of music without changing a disc!

So far as I know, the courts currently consider ripping MP3s off of a CD to be in violation of copyright, even if it’s just for personal use.
