Looking for a movie about a job interview

There are two such movies that I was once aware of but have since forgotten their names.

Both movies are kind of psychological thrillers where a handful of people answer an ad for a job and go to an interview.

The people are placed in a room and the interview is extremely mysterious and even “creepy”. They are not made aware of all the rules for the interview and have to “guess” as to most of the correct answers and even to the questions. Very strange and creepy indeed. I do recall that in one of these movies, one of the leading characters gets shot near the end.

I know the name of one of these movies. It is “Exam” from 2009.

But, I don’t know the name of the other one.

One of the nice things about IMDB is that when you look up a movie, there are a few other titles at the bottom of the page and it is stated that people who have looked up this movie have also searched for the following movies. But, unfortunately, that did not help me in this case.

Would anyone here be able to help me with this?

Is it Men in Black? I bet it’s Men in Black.

No. That’s not it. But it’s a good guess.

The movie I’m looking for is not at all comedic. It’s dead serious.

But I thank you for trying to help.

Was it The Firm with Tom Cruise trying to get a job at a law firm?

Was it a pretty girl being interviewed on a black vinyl couch in an otherwise barebones office?

No. It was a fairly recent film. Maybe around 2005 to 2010 or so?

No. But if anyone happens to know this one, I’d be interested to look up its summary on IMDB.

The movie I seek always has several people together in a room.

Hm, mine too. Anybody?

Oops. Excuse me. I could be wrong about that and if I am, I’m certainly very sorry. I will try to find that movie later.

Secretary?

OK. I found it.

It’s called “The Method” (2005)

Here is a site that discusses these kinds of movies.

Apparently, there is a lot more to them than I originally thought.

Was it Men in Black 2?

Maybe “Interview with a Vampire”?

It was “The Method”.

Thank you all. If a moderator could close this thread now, I would appreciate that.

Was it Men in Black 3?

Taxi Driver?

Rio by Duran Duran?

I think I saw that film, but just once, and only for about twenty minutes.

Black Limousine?

There’s a sequel (or two dozen of them), if you’re interested.
