Looking for a mythical or historical character

Comedy not being a strong point of mine, I do need to work some in. I will have to do some research on these names.

That’s a good point, maybe somewhere in between. If they didn’t know who some one was they wouldn’t represent much. Maybe I can figure out some way to introduce them.

Joan of Arc shows up in something like the role you imagine in Jules Feiffer’s play Knock, Knock!

Interesting thing. After Lynn Redgrave played the role of St. Joan in an inexplicably revamped cast (see the link above) she decided to play St. Joan in a Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw’s St Joan. I guess she liked the character.

(I got to see this production. It also had a very young pre-Quark Armin Shimerman in it.)

Given the collective common man angle, Karl Marx. But he was pretty cantankerous. The anarchist Michael Bakunin, who sparred with Marx, was a much bigger, more generous personality.

Oh, like the Gordon’s fisherman in that episode of Blossom.

How about the Wandering Jew? He’s got some regrets, plenty of time on his hands, and he’s seen some stuff. I bet he has advice to hand out.

Paracelsus ?

I see his proper name was Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim
Back then they knew how to name a child.

Urk.
OK then, just remember she was actually born in the Reich, but in an enclave owing fealty to France; and she never killed a soul. She was a magnificent mascot, not a warrior.

That’s Marx’s most engaging quality. Man is born to hate.
He was very good at it.
