Which fictional character would you bring to life?

Any one entity from movies, television, books, comics, radio etc. You get to bring them to our reality, present day, from any point in their history.

Mmm, difficult.

Instinctive first thought would be Sherlock Holmes from just about anywhere in that convoluted timeline. He’s intelligent, logical, and not very emotionally connected with anyone except Watson, and a replacement Watson could be found.

Most anyone else would suffer greatly from being in an unfamiliar time and place, and without any loved ones around.

If duos were allowed, I vote for John Carter of Mars and Deja Thoris from the moment after Barsoom is saved, with their first egg as Deja’s carryon.

If said fictional character gets all powers/qualities etc as described, I think Jesus is the optimal choice.

Off the top of my head? Legolas the elf from The Lord of the Rings. For some reason when I read that story he’s the character I always most closely identified with.

Well, Spiral, from Marvel Comics (an X-Men foe) is my fave comics character, so… What’s really fun is that this would introduce working sorcery into our world. Shake things up a bit, yes?

(And, yeah, my getting to Second Base with her is part of the deal.)

Maybe Dr. Strange would be a better choice… (Except for the necking bit.)

Off the top of my head, either Sherlock Holmes or Superman.
The Man of Steel should be the better choice, because by rights he ought to be able to clean up a whole lot of problems, but I think Holmes would be much more interesting.

Bambi’s mother

The Doctor. I don’t even need to mull that one.

Which one?

First thought, Cthulhu, 'cause, FUCKIN" Cthulhu MAN!
But that might not work out so well, so I’m going with Jessica Rabbit for obvious reasons.

Lazarus Long

Riker so he can help me woo the ladies B)

Yes, a creature of unfathomable evil that is indestructible and vigintillions of years old. What could go wrong.

I’d pick brainiac from DC comics, if they could create a good version of him. I don’t know if he was ever a good person, but if so, him.

Failing that, superman. That or iron man, or mr fantastic, or mister terrific. Someone brilliant, brilliant people who are pro-social would contribute the most to humanity.

Whos on first?

Jesus of Nazareth

He’s considered fictitious by some?

Superman was my first thought. The only problem with that is, when you have superheroes around, supervillains tend to show up, so I’m not sure whether that’s really a net gain for humanity.

Jeeves.

Yes. In his “Christ” gimmick, anyway.

Superman.

I might pick a fictional supergenius…but Superman might make them unnecessary, anyway.
