I’m tryign to find the name of an old russian song, the same song that is played by the music boxes at the beginning of “The Shopm Around The Croner”. I can say the darn song, but I couldn’t spell it if my life depended on it, any help?
Apparently I have some serious spelling issues anyway…
Damn, I saw that movie, and for the life of me, I can’t remember. Something by Tchaikofski, maybe?
If anyone has a copy of the film, it should be pretty easy to find out. It is when the female clerk first appears. I googled for the script, or for info, but I got nothing. Now you have me wondering about it.
Ok, I’m going to try and spell it as I would say it, so bear with me, and let me know if it rings a bell: Oh Tchoochania.
I tried to Google that movie and some sites suggested the song was Ochichornya or Ochi Chornya.
Aha! Now that I have the name, I have it. It is named “Ochi Chornye”, which means “Black Eyes”
It seems to be a traditional Russian/Gypsy tune, and you can find a sample here.
Thanks much guys! That song title has been bugging me for days
