Came out within the past 15 years, saw it on a game store shelf and always regretted never buying it because it was only $30.
Was either a board or a card game, but came in a smaller box. You commanded a Luftwaffe bomber force in an alternative 1946 where Germany was still in the war and planning bombing raids on mainland US targets using Amerika bomber bombers from the Azores.
I forget if it was 2 players or single player, but if 2 players the other person commanded US defenses.
I have an incredible knack for finding rare and expensive things at second-hand shops or garage sales for a deep discount and not buying them.
Also I did look at the instruction manual via a scan and while it’s intended for single player there are modules for 2 player modes which is what also tripped up my searches.
If you like solo WW2 board games, try the Ambush! series from Avalon Hill subsidiary Victory Games. I regretted leaving mine with my parents so I picked up the base game + all modules from eBay a while back.
If only we had a large enough area where I can play without the kitties trying to play as well.
