Looking for an Ipod Touch/Iphone app that lets me track books.

I’m a reader, and often more than one book at a time. There have been a number of times that I’ve checked out a book from the library, to discover that at some point in the last 10 years, I’d already read it. Or I forget the name of an author of a book I liked.

Can anyone suggest IPod apps that will let let me record title, author, genre and notes about books that I have read or want to read?

Not sure if they have an app, but the LibraryThing website is catered to this sort of thing.

GoodReads or Book Crawler. Both allow book entry via scanning barcodes, or entering ISBN, or manually.

Thanks for the recommendations. I just tried GoodReads, and it requires that I create an account with them. Is that correct or am I missing something? I don’t want to share booklists. I just want to track my own reading.

Yeah, GoodReads is a social site. I think you can make your lists private (?) but they’re stored on their website.

Any list-manager software will do the job, I’d think. Basically any of the apps targeted at grocery shopping.

Enter your list of books; put the author in another field such as category / aisle, and check it off once you’ve read it. Or put it in the “need” list when you plan to read it, and in the “cart” when you’re done with it.
