These hemp/cannabis-flavored beverages seem almost laughably dubious (I recall seeing a “hemp-flavored malt beverage” awhile back, as well). Theres a reason people don’t drink bong water…maybe somebody forgot to tell these marketing geniuses.
I’ve seen Pisco for sale. It’s a corn liquor from Peru or Chile. The bottle is some wild precolombian design.
I’ve heard of this, never seen or tasted it. It is a liquere made in the Alsace region of France, from an extract of holly-tree berries. Anybody know if the stuff is obtainable in the USA?
I have had the Czech “Berechkova”-it’s nothing special-tastes like a strong english gin.
How much do you like him?
If time is not of the essence, I can get you a mickey of Genuine Yukon Hooch - says so right on the bottle.
I think it is actually a whiskey relative. Dunno, since that Unfortunate Incident involving two bottles of Silk Tassle many many years ago, I can’t even smell the stuff without my stomach flip-flopping.
There’s also a Yukon Ice local vodka that tastes okay.
There’s also Baja Luna and Baja Rosa, but I suspect they aren’t exactly obscure…Luna is tequila, cream and black raspberries, and Rosa is tequila, cream and strawberries.
Slivovitz, is a plum brandy from Eastern Europe, the first I ever tasted was from Slovenia. The first sip tasted like perfumed gasoline but by the third sip it was pretty tastey. They make some in this country now that is not as rough the first couple of sips.

Synthehol, anyone? Or Kickapoo Joy Juice?
Well, I’ve got a couple of obscure things in my liquor cabinet…
I’ve got a bottle of Maraschino liqueur from Yugoslavia (the brand name is Maraska); it’s kind of a cherry liqueur. 64 proof, and not bad, although I bought it to marinate strawberries in prior to deep-frying them.
But the really obscure one I have is called Crema de Membrillo; a friend of mine got it in Mexico and decided having it around was just too much of a temptation. As near as I can figure, it’s some sort of tequila-based liqueur. Nowhere on the bottle does it say how strong it is, but it does say “El abuso en el consumo de este producto es nocivo para la salud”, which I (with my limited Spanish) translate roughly as “Drinking too much of this product is bad for your health.” It tastes like slightly sour butterscotch-flavored liqueur; it’s utterly delicious. Might be hard to find in the US, though.
That was George Dickel Tennesse Whiskey, and they only used that bottle for a short time in the early sixties. IF you can find one of those bottles, it’s a valuable collectible and could bring you big bucks, even more if it’s unopened.
