Looking for "Flight of Dragons" Animated movie

This movie rules, however i’ve not seen a copy of it anywhere in over ten years. Has some fan somewhere burned it to dvd? or am i doomed to search it out on vhs. if any of you know where i could find it please help!

I would begin haunting mom-n-pop video stores. Seen it lots of times on the racks… but not lately.

Then again, I haven’t much been looking, either…

I’ve seen it in my local mom-n-pop video store, as a matter of fact.

So, if you live in the North Bay Area, you might be able to get to it. With a little driving.

You didn’t try Amazon.com did you?

I only know because I was looking for it myself a few weeks ago. They had it on DVD then, but apparently only have it on VHS right now.

Great movie by the way.

“If I die, let me die a dragon killer!”

“Say it then!”
“Alright, I deny all magic!”

“He will invent miracles and call them television and radio.”

“Limestone! A puny man-word if there ever was one!”

“I have the strangest urge to eat a cow, bones and all.”

“A flight of dragons,
Soar past reality,
In the sky or in my mind,
A flight of dragons,
Catch the wind,
and soar into the sky.
A flight of dragons . . .”

I haven’t seen it in years. I did, however, make my follks rent it over and over when I was a wee lad.

I downloaded it off Kazaa a while back (yes I’m an internet thief), but it took several days because there were very few users with it. Also the quality isn’t that great, but I’m not complaining. So you can explore the internet piracy option.

I hope for your sake a mod doesn’t read that, non-native.

Isn’t this movie an adaptation of the Book The Dragon and the George by Gordon Dickson? I remember watching this movie and thinking it seemd awfully familiar.

Non Native I am not a moderator or administrator and have no authority. But, I’ve been on this board for a few years and am familiar with its rules. Discussions of file sharing, Kazaa, piracy and similar subjects are frowned upon. Recommending that another poster illegally download a copyrighted work will likely displease the mods and admins.

PsychoTrain IIRC yes, it is.

Are you sure? My library has a copy of a book called “A Flight of Dragons”, by a Peter Dickinson. Was this just put out after the movie?

(I still, somewhere, have an old VHS copy of the film - recorded from TV, commercials and all. It’s horrible quality at times, but still watchable.)

Here you go, enjoy!

I love that movie too.  It’s both a movie and a book.
See?

Are you sure it’s not just a part of your Library of Unwritten Books?

Nope Lord Ashtar, it’s not. You’d have done well to click the links I provided. Peter Dickinson did indeed, write a book titled “The Flight of Dragons” which is also an animated movie. I believe the book came first, but I’m not certain on that.

Sorry for the snarkiness there, Lord Ashtar I missed the emoticon.

IMDB lists both novels, A Flight of Dragons and The Dragon and the George, as part of the writing credits.
