I’m finally getting a PS4 this weekend. Yeah! What are some fun 2+ player games, that aren’t first person shooters? Is The Division or Destiny 2 still a thing? Does anyone play those anymore? Maybe Monster Hunter World or Diablo 3?
The Lego games? Once you get beyond that they’re for kids, they’re fun co-op adventures starring people you probably already like.
The Marvel and Jurassic Park games are even (mostly) open world, so you don’t even have to be “together”
I’ve not played it but Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition comes highly recommended.
Minecraft?
Diablo 3 is great 2 player on the PS4.
There’s a few indie titles I’ve played through with the kids (although they aren’t necessarily kids games) - Never Alone is pretty good, and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a wonderful little game where you cooperate to operate a spaceship.
I think the Genesis game “ToeJam & Earl” is available on PlayStation Network. I still find it fun 27 years after its release. It encourages exploring.
