So UPS just lost a very important envelope my sister sent to a bank. It was in their tracking system and then it just stopped at one of their facilities and moved no further. When she called them, they said they could not find it but would continue to investigate.
So that made me wonder: “how often does this occur between the 3 big carriers and is one statistically much better than the others in that regard?”
I am therefore looking for real, current, statistical, hard data on lost packages before delivery.
I realize all sorts of things can go wrong in the actual “out for delivery” process but that is not what I am looking at.
I seriously doubt this data is available to the public and searching Google did not work for me, so asking here is just a long shot.
