My friends and I just played Death Wears White: Murder Mystery Game and we had a lot of fun. Some of us were veteran D&D players, but even the ones who weren’t had fun and acted out their roles as best they could. I’d love to try it again but as there are quite a few out there and I’m having a hard time finding good reviews for them I was wondering if you guys had done this and if there were any good one you could recommend.
Although you may go with the prepackaged Murder Mystery
packages, there is nothing difficult about making up your own scenarios. There are several potential advantages to this:
- You can custom tailoir the plot, characterizations, clues and other elements to your guests, setting and such.
- You save the cost of a game that can really only be played once
- Its not that difficult, especially as you already have run one from a prepackaged game - you have the templates and structure in place.
Best of luck.

I’ve only ever played Murder Mysterys that have been written by someone I know. A roommate wrote one, and I’ve written one myself. Interesting experience.
