I have a friend who is an accomplished dulcimer player. She has just started using a Tascam digital recorder to do some recording at home, and is looking for some software she can use to perform some simple editing after she has recorded it. What software would you recommend she look at?
You didn’t specify freeware or commercial software, but Audacity is a free program that allows you to edit audio.
I believe she wants to do some fairly simple editing (at least initially), so I’m hoping there’s some freeware that would work. But I’ll also pass along info for any commercial software that is recommended.
I’ll check out Audacity. Thanks.
Note that there’s a page with some plugins for it as well. I think you have to install the LAME library (also free) to be able to export in MP3 format.
