Looking for Prayers, good luck, spells - whatever you believe in.

 Thanks for asking!

The answer is, perhaps a little. It is so little though that it is hard to say for sure. I do not have the constant nausea of yesterday, but I cannot drink anything without getting sick.

My Doc will give me some medicine for the nausea tomorrow. He would have today but my pharmacy is closed. I could go to another, but I like my pharmacist to know what I take so he can clue me in regarding interactions. Anyway, one day more like this and then perhaps some freedom.

He wants to wait a week or so to see if I get better. I have to trust him and take my time. I sleep alot, and that is good because there is no pain or nausea in my dreams.

Good to know. Hang in there!

Khadaji, hold still, because I am going to explain something to you:

Take your goshdarn PAIN PILLS!

Look, your body has only so much in the resources department right now, and that’s run down because of your weight loss and dehydration. You need to heal. When you don’t take your pain pills, you make it harder for your body to heal because it has to deal with the pain first.

Take your goshdarn PAIN PILLS!

Take it every four to six hours just like it says. Take it even if you’re not hurting, because if you get behind in your pain meds, you have to take more just to catch up. I speak from experience, as I learned this little lesson when I had my gallbladder out.

You’re not going to get hooked on vicodin in your short recovery time. It doesn’t work that way. No one’s going to think you’re a wuss. Actually, they’re going to think you’re stupid if you don’t take your pain pills.

The pain is part of what’s making you nauseous, 'kay? That’s why it’s hard for you to get enough to drink and why you’re so thirsty, so…

Take your goshdarn PAIN PILLS!

Are we clear?

Preach it phouka. We all want you to heal and feel better Khadaji.

Drugs are not always bad, mkay? Suffering doesn’t make you cooler. Relief of pain will help your body heal.

Please feel better. Going back to the hospital for simple dehydration is so annoying. I was in for 5 days 2 months after my initial surgery. Don’t let yourself go down that road.

What phouka said.

Oh, and {{{Khadaji}}}

OK, TMI warning, since swallowing and drinking are hard, can you ask your Doctor for pain releif Suposatories (sp?). Have you eaten since the operation? Hope you continue getting better.

snuggles and snogs Khadaji, brings tea, blankets, and love

Take the pills! throws them at Khadaji’s head

Woohoo. Had my first dose of anti-nausea medicine. OK, it hasn’t sorted me out, but I’m glad I got it. We’ll see what the next dose does in another 3 huors.

Almost no pain today. Mucho nausea, but very little pain. The kind of pain you might feel if you worked your stomach muscles too hard. It only hurts to get up.

Went to work for a few hours. I had to get out. Wasn’t much use, but everyone seemed glad to see me. In fact, the attention was almost suffacating. But it is nice to be cared about.

It is nice too that you fine people keep checking in. It means a lot.

Sounds like you had it a little more roughly than I had expected and hoped. I’m glad you’re up and about, though.

Glad you are starting to feel better. Does the doctor (or do you) know what’s causing the nausea? Wasn’t that supposed to be relieved by the removal of the gall bladder?
Hope you stay on the upswing. Can’t believe you went into work!
