Looking for some different ring bearer ideas

My daughter gets married this coming Saturday (3 days!) and her 17-year old nephew will be the “ring bearer”. Her 19-year old cousins will be the flower girls, and instead of baskets for the rose petals, I got silver-colored Chinese food containers for them to carry. This is not your traditional wedding…they are getting married in a party room at a sports bar, her dress is silver, we’re having cupcakes instead of a cake…

So I am looking for a different way for this boy to carry the rings rather than the standard pillow.

Any ideas?

Pierced septum.

Okay, probably not.

In a pizza box, as competition to the Chinese food containers?

In a sports bar… so taped to a hockey puck/football/other sports object? How about in the basket of a lacrosse stick? Hooked on the end of a fishing line?

They aren’t huge sports fans…the place just has a cheap room and great food! But I kind of like the pizza box idea…keep 'em coming!

In a chain around his neck. Drop the ring in Mount Doom, and you should be good.

Also in the take out containers, but inside fortune cookies inside the containers.

Have the kid dress as Green Lantern and pass the ring to the groom.

So this four-year-old boy takes three steps down the aisle, raises his hands, and says ‘Rowr!’ The takes three more steps, stops, raises his hands, and says ‘Rowr!’ After several repetitions one of the wedding guests asks him what he’s doing. The lad says, ‘I’m the Ring Bear!’

In a cereal box.

Cracker Jack box?

In a pouch of pipe weed?

Stuffed teddy bear.

The Ring Bear.

Hide 'em in a plate of calamari. The B&G have to eat squid rings until they find the real ones.

Our ring bearer was our Roomba vaccuum cleaner, driven down the aisle by remote control by a friend of ours. Do you have a Roomba (the kind with a remote)? It got a lot of laughs at our wedding.

The Roomba sounds like a fun idea – how about a remote control car or helicopter controlled by the nephew?

Dress him as a Hobbit please.

Tie the rings to the football lace on a football. Don’t get carried away so that the rings won’t come off.

Put the ring in a glass of beer. The couple to be will have to drink the beer to get at the ring. A couple did this at a wedding I officiated a few years ago.

On a huge hoop pierced earring?

I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw the thread title and thought, “Frodo!”

My fiance’s 15 year old brother is our ring bearer. We’re thinking of getting him a small wooden box to carry the rings in.

Also… what about on the end of a skewer and the rest of the skewer is covered in meat and they have to eat their way to the rings?
