Looking for the name of an old mail order catalog

All that I can remember from the dim recesses of my memory:

It was like a Sears catalog but tended to offer high-end merchandise;
The issues I remember were from the late 50’s - early 60’s:
Its logo prominently featured a large diamond (maybe blue);
The catalog was hardcover.

One thing I vividly remember that it sold was a kids gasoline powered car. Not a go-kart - this was a miniaturized automobile that kids could drive! Boy, how I wanted one!

Hit submit too soon.

Does this jog anyone’s memories?

Sounds like the Spiegel Catalog to me.

The diamond makes me think of GemCo, which was sort of like CostCo. I don’t know if they had a catalog. But that’s all I’ve got.

Perhaps it was Best (later to become Service Merchandise)? I’m pretty sure their old logo was a blue diamond thingy.

Don’t know if it’s the same catalog you have in mind, but this little emporium has a lot of high-end stuff, including (at least in years past) miniature cars for kids: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/

That’s what struck me, too.

Here’s the cover of the 1957 catalog. Blue star thingy = diamond???

Nothing so far. I appreciate all of your efforts, though.

It’s this:

Bennett Brothers catalog
I used to pore over that thing for hours as a kid.

Thanks again, everyone for your help.

Never heard of Bennett Bros. Who were/are they? Still in business?

Apparently so,
But they seem to have gone from general merchandise sales to employee gifts and incentives - think “20 years employment anniversary” kind of stuff.

That’s okay. I just want an old catalog.
