I’m getting back into my daily yoga practice and the one I have from Rodney Yee ( Fat burning or somethinglike that) Is very good, but at 1.40 , is a bit long.
I am open to all forms of yoga, as I am probably an advance beginner-intermediate, but in flobby condition.
Does anyone know of a really good review site for yoga dvd’s?
If you do at home yoga, which one(s) do you like or not like.
Suzanne Deason has a fairly short yoga DVD for weight loss maintenance that I use for a lighter work out. I also like the Crunch yoga/Pilates workout (Ellen Barrett leads that one).
There’s another Crunch one that has two yoga work outs on it; one is just yoga and the other is somewhat power yoga (although not as intense as the Rodney Yee videos).
As for reviews, I usually get mine from Amazon and read the reviews there. I have a good sense of what I want so I can avoid ones that stray too far down the Eastern mysticism path (for example) as well as the ones I know will end up not doing a thing for me.
I love taking classes but they are so expensive–having the DVDs at home keeps me going and staying fit and consistent.
The price is about $12 per class. Well, I can buy a dvd for around that price and have my husband check my posture.
I found collage video where they have reviews (by pros and real people.) and bits of the dvd available for viewing.
Rodney Yee is amazing. There is a series of videos (I have them on VHS, but am sure they’re available on DVD) by LivingYoga that run 20 minutes. Rodney Yee does the “a.m. yoga” and it is amazing – we also have the “p.m. yoga” and a couple others. I like them because they’re all only 20 minutes.
