He seems to have Florida in the bag and since there are only 3 swing states Kerry would need to win both Pennsylvania and Ohio, and I doubt that this will happen.
I am only moderately bothered by Bush getting re-elected, it just bothers me to think what the world must think of the US right now that we re-elected someone they consider so radical. I remember when people would protest the US they would say ‘we are only protesting your administration, we like the American people’ but since we the american people just re-elected the administration I wonder what they think of the people now.
I thought there were six swing states, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Florida.
According to the BBC, Kerry has a slim lead in both Ohio and a strong lead in Pennsylvania while no-one knows what’s going to happen in Wisconsin, New Mexico and Iowa.
If Bush is re-elected, the rest of the world will think that the american public is now complicit in the atrocities of the administration. Of course, they’ll only be slightly-more-than-half-right.
With 11% of precincts reporting, Bush is now at 52% in Ohio, versus Kerry’s 47%. As I’ve noted in another thread, during the early reporting over the last hour and a half, they’ve swapped significant appearing leads a few times. We’ve got hours to go yet.
With 85% of the precincts in in FL, Bush is up by about 200,000 votes. I don’t know if I’d call it a lock for Bush, but I now expect Bush to win Florida.
