Lord of the Rings Mafia

Yay magic bags! If you weren’t swinging already, you’d probably swing for that.

I just want to reaffirm that I’m in favor of giving suburban a night to see what he does, but I don’t actually trust him. I also don’t trust peeker or Gadarene (and will be very worried about the latter if suburban turns out to be town). So, Ed, we at least have some suspicions in common.

Oh, I’ll play. Is there anything back there really worth reading?

and answer me this, was I mistaken in my claim that almost everything that Astral had accused me of was either factually or logically incorrect?

I did concede to the fact that there may have been pro-Scum motivation in initiating a handshake attempt.
In regards to what I’m forbidden from discussing…well, I’m forbidden from discussing that. Though, I do hope I won’t be mod killed for mentioning that I can’t mention something. Though, maybe that wouldn’t be a bad idea…then we could kill both me and Suburban.

Please bleach votes when you quote them, everyone.

Since you asked nicely, maybe. I’m still mad at you.

I believe **GuiriEnEspaña **has a vote against ed (Post 878), unless it was retracted and I missed it.

Sorry, I’ve kinda got a special interest in making sure the vote count is accurate

This also applies to the naked Townies as well.

(Yes that should read “uninformed” not “uniformed”.) :smack:

It’s not really a magic bag, because, I promise I won’t reveal to you what I know. Ever. Well, at least during the game.

I will tell you this, however. My role PM as posted is accurate.

I am not Glorfindel.

I am Faramir.

[snipped]

Any particular reasons? You’re actually one of the folks I most trust thus far, to the extent that I trust anybody.

Mahaloth, you appear to have omitted Guiri’s vote for Special Ed in [post=12814241]post 878[/post].

What was the Glorfindel thing? Did I miss something?

And why can’t you reveal what you know? Is it role-related, or mod-slip related? Or can’t you even say that much?

oh for fuck’s sake don’t be obtuse. only i am allowed to try and break games fcs.

anyone with a lick of sense knew what you were doing. my problem was that with maha. story and sach modding you had to figure that they were not going to let that shit occur. so either you were banking on those souls being dumb as stumps (which i doubt) or you were pulling a half ass scum tactic.

the fact that we got a lot of participants speaks to the potential scum benefit of this action. i don’t think town gained shit.

and now you pull this other shit out of your ass.

what the heck are people supposed to think?

don’t lynch poor little me. i am just trying real hard. oh, i have some other stuff i need to bring up.

well, fucking bring it up. i mean you aren’t doing town shit for now so who the hell would care if it results in a mod kill. unless it is game breaking, then please just let it go.

kthnxbye.

p.s. and i need to keep posting this so people know: i like ed. he plays the game markedly different from me but if he had a car wreck and was on fire by the side of the road i’d let my dog piss on him to put him out.

Nevermind. I found the post where you mentioned it. (I.e. how the vanilla PM you posted could apply to just about anyone like Merry or Glorfindel.)

Thanks for pointing that out properly. Maybe one of these days I’ll remember to use proper formatting.

I suppose I can tell you that it is not role related.

And no, in regards to not being Glorfindel, you did not miss anything.

I would distrust anyone claiming to be Glorfindel, however you have no reason to.

I did bring it up. I just can’t actually say it.

It is worth considering, as MHaye pointed out, that Saruman had a Palantir, too, so Plankton’s PM might just be a slight change to Saruman’s. But I would have expected Saruman to have a Godfather-type power: Despite the Godfather typically being the nominal leader of the Scum team, it would be going directly against canon for Third-Age Sauron to have a power like that.

Then again, the important question is just whether Plankton (or any other given player) is Scum or not, not which particular Scum he is. If he’s Sauron, or Saruman, or Third Orc from the Left, he still needs to die.

True, I’m not Merry either, but it’s quite possible that someone else is.

sometimes older brothers just need to hit their younger brother in the fucking head.

How old are you? And would it be OK if I kicked you instead?

I’m not going to get away with anything. If you flip town, I’d better hope the town takes a good hard look at my motivation, and that of everyone else who voted for you. I made the first big case against you, and I was wrong about some of my suppositions. But I don’t like how you’ve responded to my posts, and your petulant posts now aren’t changing my mind.

Noted. This is still just a game, one that I’m getting a feel for. I’m genuinely sorry that you’re taking my case against you personally, especially given that I did make some mistakes.

I agree with Telcontar on all points. I’m in favor of giving SP a night or two to see what he does. I similarly don’t trust him. And I absolutely agree that Ed’s claim comes from nowhere, given that he claimed vanilla. What secrets could he have?

You were mistaken. I was wrong about some things, but you were wrong about others. And your responses haven’t sat right with me, for reasons I and others have pointed out.

I’m sorry if you’re actually Faramir. But I don’t believe this claim, and I do believe that your actions are scummy. You’ve been playing in a very anti-town way, and I see most of your motivations as pointing to scum. I’m not going to couch my suspicion in wiggle terms so I can distance myself from it later. I fully believe you’ll flip scum if you’re lynched.
