jesus, peeker, I have no clue what this is supposed to mean!
OK wait, **peeker **thinks he’s a sleeper mason based on a mechanic he is developing for a game that hasn’t been played yet because ed has the phrase “your family and loved ones” in his (claimed) PM? and so **peeker **is claiming to be Boromir who is Faramir’s brother (the role **ed **has claimed). And this is despite the fact that both claim to have no information related to their brother included in their Role PM? AND despite the fact that **ed **has said his ?extra? information is related to Glorfindel and has nothing to do with Bormir.
Have I got that right so far?
Because I also have the line “your family and loved ones” in my PM, but as far as I can tell from Wikipedia, my character doesn’t have any family who are specifically named in the book or movie.
I can see how that interpretation might seem plausible, yes, to someone other than myself. I was just pointing out that there are many other possible interpretations, since I know that interpretation wasn’t correct.
I think my I just suffered a temporary IQ and/or Sanity loss from reading the last two or so pages.
I just hope it’s not permanent.
And if you can’t figure out the difference between my actions and Chip’s actions, peeker, well there’s nothing more I can say. Needless to say, there isn’t any inconsistency if you actually look at our respective situations.
In all seriousness, as to the question of “which canon”: If ed is to be believed, Mahaloth at least considered including Glorfindel in some way or another (possibly as a Scum cover name?). So far as I know, there was no appearance by or mention of Glorfindel whatsoever in the movies. So that would seem to imply that there’s at least some influence from the books in the game.
I’m not sure if it makes any difference, though. The biggest change to a character from book to movie is Arwen, and even in the movies, she doesn’t really do much besides one horse-ride, looking hot, and getting mushy with Aragorn. Faramir, as you mentioned, also changed some, but we’ve already seen a claim that Faramir is vanilla. And the only other changes I can think of all just amounted to adding a little more comic relief.
**You are not confirmed. You have no teeth here. Keep that in mind.
**
**
THIS.**
So, You are Power Role town, and I am supposed to take your word for it?
**
Or rather, I am supposed to take your NON word for it, but confirm you for it anyway?**
Where is the Town motivation in that?
It is not Fishing in the slightest.
You entered this game by magic bag claiming. A vote against you for not backing that up is the price of admission. [I believe there is a pun here, but I can’t find it.]
You can’t pre-ordain yourself as Power Town, and teflon everything else based on your unconfirmed claim. We are well down the road of you being quasi-confirmed based just on your words alone. At best you are pseudo-confirmed. I’m one to make sure that we don’t forget that.
I can smell the Fallacy from here. I can’t name it, but then again, my track record with Occam’s Razor and Wine is not the best it should be.
All I need to know is that part of this is NOT kosher. And that’s enough for me.
Ed and Peeker can spam the game all they want with disenfranchising cannon specific trvial tidbits that I can’t begin to decipher. That’s fine, I will go for the vote on the guy that is playing too big for his britches, at any role. One requires uber-specific knowledge of canon shoe-horned into a Mafia game, and the other is universal, in Mafia and otherwise.
i am not so sure that it is that simple chronos. and maybe i ascribe to ed too much. and for that i may pay a price, namely death. but i do not care. ed tried to pull a handshake which by his own admission and examples is not real effective. but he was town when he did it. i find it hard to believe that a scum ed would try and pull the same nonsense.
if he is faramir and i am boromir (which i don’t expect any one to buy at this point) then we can self confirm. and based on canon it fits. especially with these durn mods.
