LotR (movie): What breed were the Ringwraiths' horses?

I was just wondering…In Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings (as opposed to, you know, Rob Reiner’s LotR), what breed of horse was used for the Ringwraiths’ mounts?

And that’s assuming they were all the same breed…which may not be the case. I don’t know enough about horses to tell.

Well, thanks for your time,

Ranchoth

They were black Arabians and Morgans.

I think you misspelled “Morgul.”

Well, in the book, they were horses stolen from the Rohirrim. The steeds of Rohan were the mearas, of which legend said they were descended from steeds brought from the west to middle-earth by Oromë.

But I guess that’s not what you were asking, is it? :frowning:

Preface: I worship the Mercotan

We need a term for a post/poster who, out of boredom or desperation for a thread which engages his interests, finds a thread that’s *pretty * close & answers the question he wishes it was.

Not a derogatory term by any means lest Arch Dopeangels like the Mercotan cease to enlighten and amaze whatever the context, but a term.

A “whish”?

“Qadgopping it?”

If it relates to JRRT, I’m oath-bound to post something! (oath-bound sounds better than obsessive-compulsive   )

I know what the straw man concept is. Would my reply in this thread be considered a straw horse?

A saw horse? I thought that was Baum.
