I use Lotus Notes (R5) at my new job, and when I click on a URL in an email, the web-page opens up in Lotus Notes (in what is basically a new email window).
What I would like to happen is for the link to open in Internet Explorer.
(Incidentally, .html and .htm files in Windows are associated with Internet Explorer.)
I know this is possible, because no one else I work with seems to have this problem. Also, I remember about 2 years ago on a different system, I was able to fix this same problem. I vaguely remember it had to do with something in the control panel… or the registry… or something more complex than just a check box in Notes.
With your workspace showing…
File | Preferences | Location Preferences… | Internet Browser Tab
Change it to what ever. If your browser isn’t listed, pick other and type in the path to the executable.
I feel your pain on Lotus Notes.
