Louis Jourdan dead at 93

Link.

The title should be ‘Jourdan’, not ‘Jourdin’. Will a passing mod please correct?

Thank you.

Was he poisoned through an injection corkscrew?

No, the Count was staked in his coffin, just as the sun was going down.

(One of the better versions, BTW)

RIP, [DEL]Count Dracula[/DEL] Monsieur Jourdan

To be the world, and to own it!

I agree, Lois Jourdan’s Dracula redefined the role for me

I remember watching that show back in the 70’s and being surprised that certain scenes kind of got me…aroused.

The Count is working his mojo on you.

The first time I saw it on PBS, Dracula gives his brides a baby in a satchel, and they spend the next 15-30 seconds tearing it up. That is not being broadcast any more, I believe.

Was it a nice satchel? Because if it was a cheap one, it wouldn’t really matter if they tore it up.

It was a nice baby (male, too).

They don’t speak English in Transylvania, why should I?

Sorry to hear this sad news, but I’m glad he made it to age 93. RIP Louis.

Oh, goodness…I thought you meant Louis Jordan had died. Thank god he’s still with us!

One of my favorite James Bond scenes.

One of my favorites as well. It almost defines Bond for me. And, IMHO, puts to the lie the notion that Roger Moore is an actor unworthy of the role.

I saw that episode just a couple of weeks ago and wondered if he was still alive. He was one of those actors who never seem to age until right around the end.

RIP!

Episode of what? I just finished binge reading some Peter Wimsey books and a bottle of port poisoned with nicotine spooged in through the cork with an injection corkscrew was how it was done…

Perfection in Gigi.

Ummm, Louis Jordan died in 1975. But yeah, I thought the same thing at first.

He scared the hell out of me, not just Doris Day, in Julie.
