Louisville: What to see? Where to go?

My husband and I are going to Louisville for a few days over New Year’s. Any recommendations for things we should do? We are not into sports at all, so the Louisville Slugger museum is out. We like geeky stuff, history, art, and most of all, good food.

Any ideas?

Hotel/Museum 21C is a fun place to stay, or at least visit.

We loved the Ali Museum, fascinating even if (like me) you’re not a boxing fan.

A great geeky place to visit is Thomas Edison’s old house/workshop.

The Bourbon Trail. http://kybourbontrail.com/

There will be good food, history and how-do-they-do-that geeky stuff.

It’s been quite a while since I was there, but I recall liking the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft. It’s free, so no loss if you don’t like it.

I second the Ali Center even if you’re not a boxing fan.

Weather might not be great but they have an excellent zoo. The gorilla exhibit was rated one of the top 5 exhibits in the world.
