I have absolutely nothing to back this up, but I’m thinking “Love ya, love your show” as well as “IS THE CALLER THERE?!!” are from the Phil Donahue show. (In other words, callers would call in, say “Hi Phil! Love ya, love your show!” and proceed with their question.) I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen the Phil Donahue show, but remember these phrases from the assorted SNL/Letterman spoofs of it.
BTW, Mancow was formerly a DJ in the SF Bay area but was run out of town on a rail for closing down the Golden Gate Bridge during rush hour to get a haircut. (A boneheaded nod to Clinton’s haircut on Air Force One.)
