The reason I don’t post more is because I lurk at work. It’s quicker to click back and forth between screens so as to not get caught. I rarely go on line at home cause I am busy with mundane life stuff (and computer games). I often wonder how some of you guys get such high post counts in so little time! whoops doctor coming gotta look busy… …
click
… oops …
i wasn’t trying to up my pitiful post count , honest…
Long time lurker checking in…
I think one of the best parts about lurking is going to the Dope Fests and getting to meet everyone in person.
Lurkers should unite and meet at the New York Mega Dope Fest in January. Plans are already a foot and everyone should keep an eye out for the thread started by ** Bildo**.
I can’t wait to drink with Biggirl, Beerchick, DaveW007, and many many other other wonderful Dopers of the world.
Come on out and have a drink with me.
Kristi, You think each reply increases your post count? I wondered about that too at first. But your post count is bumped on your firstreply or post on a thread and doesn’t bump as long as you reply in that same thread. So your Posts count is really how many threads you’ve been in, not how many times you’ve spoken.
Consider that and realize how intimidating a high post count really is! Why, I’m behind you and I’m considered a Star Trek regular poster! L:DL
hey it did so go up it with that previous post…
another lurker here.
i don’t post because i feel i have very little to contribute. not really a deep thinker.
i often wonder why i even bothered to register.
Yeah. Well. Hmmm. Okay Dopers, is it that it goes up as long as you don’t post after yourself? Or something else?
Oh, f*** it. Now I look like an Ass and I’m just gonna go back to lurking … [sub]Well, maybe since you don’t really know who I am I can hope you’ll be kind and not flame me for being stupid.
[/sub]
I’ve just gotta learn to put disclaimers in my posts about what I know and what I think are true. The nice thing is that as long as I’ve owned up to being right or wrong on an issue, everyone seems to be nice. Helps when my tendency is to Lurk!
So, I Don’t Know What I’m Talking About - Please Help!
I am a “lurker” (which everyone knows is a step above a “stalker”)
